Nothing like a bit of cactus fruit to start the day. I first had these in Thailand and knew them as pitahaya. They seem to go by many names - dragon fruit, pitahaya, pitaya, huǒ lóng guǒ, strawberry pear, nanettika fruit, or thanh long.
Now, every time I see one, I buy it. This little beauty came from my favourite Thai shop in China Town.
